The company launched its operations in 2013 on the plank of 'Kommitment to the nation - Now in North East' with Mary Kom announced as the brand ambassador for the company in the region. The anniversary event held at the Spring Valley Resort, Sonapur was attended by 400 people including sales promoters, customers, key dealers, employees and partners.

To mark the completion of the landmark first year, Dalmia Cement unveiled a coffee table book '365 days of excellence', encapsulating events and achievements of the brand since its launch in the North East. There were several classical dance performances including traditional dances of the region to bring in the cultural element. Eight young performers were felicitated for their skills and performances in their respective field of performing arts by Mr. M.C. Kini. In addition, as a precursor to the event, last week, Dalmia Cement recognized lifetime achievements of senior engineers at its first ever technical meet 'Praudhyogiki' - Harnessing Technology for Enhancing Performance.
Over the past one year, Mary Kom helped DCBL establish itself as one of the most popular cement brands in the North East. She also helped convey the clear advantage of DCBL's HALC (Higher Alite Low Celite) based product which is a new technology in cement in the North East market, setting a benchmark for excellence in the industry.
