Datawrkz Reports a Significant Decline in Suspicious Traffic by Using Forensiq's Pre- and Post-bid Filters

The six-month-old partnership has helped reduce highly suspicious traffic, and provides accurate post-bid reporting to identify fraudulent pockets of supply.

The implementation of Forensiq's pre-bid filters allows Datawrkz to increase fraud detection by 70% and increase ad viewability by 30%. The end result has seen Datawrkz reduce its fraudulent traffic purchased to below 15% across the inventory in which Forensiq's technology is enabled. Following the integration of Forensiq's post-bid technology, Datawrkz reported that approximately 40% of traffic it was exposed to previously was fraudulent, with the highest percentage of risk coming from bots and spoofed domains. In addition, within the sample tested, nearly 30% of sellers were found to be delivering high-risk traffic.
Ad fraud, or nonhuman traffic or bots registering impressions or clicks on ad units, is an endemic issue facing the digital marketing industry today, with advertisers estimated to lose $6.3 billion globally in 2015 alone. Fraud detection technology evaluates the legitimacy of clicks and impressions by using big data and session-based analysis, and alerts advertisers of bot activity and compromised campaign results.
