A recent survey by DelightGifts.in on Diwali gifting revealed that over half of the respondents would prefer to shop online for gifts. Less than 10% would prefer to shop offline. The awareness of experiential gifting has increased is confirmed by the statistic that over 63% of the respondents had heard of this new concept.

In the survey, majority were in the age bracket of 26-40 years, with the age group of 18-25 a close second. The male to female ratio was 68:32.

The most sought after items for gifting were clothes and accessories at over 50% while chocolates and dry fruits stood second at slightly over 21%, and under 10% opted for electronics, gold and silver coins and gift experiences each.

As for the budget, under Rs. 1000 was what most respondents indicated they would spend followed by just over 35% choosing Rs. 3000-5000, 12% had budgets between Rs. 3000-5000 while only 4% had budgets above Rs. 5000.
