The celebration brought together thousands of local residents, fostering a shared sense of cultural pride and unity.
The celebrations commenced with participation in a rally, strengthening community participation, led by Mahesh Landge, member of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly representing Bhosari Vidhan Sabha constituency in the Pune district, along with Mr. Jimmy Mistry, Founder & CMD, Della Group, followed by a sacred Maha Yagya performed by Mr. Jimmy Mistry, and his family, setting a deeply spiritual tone for the evening.
A series of addresses by eminent speakers, including Bhavana Roy, Director of the Himanshu Roy Foundation; Dr. Radhakrishna Pillai, author of Chanakya Niti; Shree Ganesh Kumar Uppan, Chairman of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan; and Gopal Das, Youth Mentor at ISKCON Temple, Mumbai, highlighted the continued relevance of Lord Ram's values in contemporary leadership and life.
The evening also featured a drone show, offering a contemporary interpretation of the celebrations and seamlessly blending technology with tradition.
A key highlight of the evening was the collective rendition of Vande Mataram. With the song now set to be sung before the national anthem whenever both are performed, the moment carried deep cultural significance, recognising its rightful place in the nation's traditions. In honour of this, the entire Della family and over 5,000 attendees came together to sing all stanzas of Vande Mataram, followed by the national anthem, creating a powerful and unifying experience.
This commitment of the Della Group is reflected in sustained initiatives such as the Della ZP Foundation School, which supports the education of over 280 Adivasi children up to the 12th standard, making it one of the few Zilla Parishad schools in Maharashtra to offer this level of education. The organisation also continues to prioritise local employment generation across its developments, alongside expanding programmes in women empowerment.
In addition, Della operates a dedicated disaster management programme with a team of over 100 trained personnel and mountaineering experts, who respond to landslides, floods, and accident scenarios, including complex recovery operations in challenging terrains. These initiatives collectively reflect an approach that extends beyond conventional hospitality practices.
