Team Whitelite, the CSR group at Nous Infosystems, celebrated this Diwali with a difference. They made a modest contribution to Swanthana, an orphanage in Bangalore for girl children with special needs. A donation of Rs.1 Lakh was made on behalf of all 'Nouseans', with the hope of bringing a smile, joy and happiness to the residents there.
Ajith J. Pillai, the President and CEO of Nous, had this to say about the CSR initiatives being undertaken by Nous Infosystems: "We have consistently strived to do our bit for the underprivileged in our society and this contribution is another modest effort in that direction. We hope that these funds will aid in better facilities and help us gift a smile to the underprivileged kids."

Swanthana is run by the Daughters of St. Camillus and was established in September 2006. It houses 34 girls between the ages of 6 months and 15 years, with special needs who are differently abled. This orphanage home has given shelter to infants who have been abandoned by their parents at hospitals and other places since they have serious disabilities.
