Frost & Sullivan Honors Mobil 1 for Being Voted the 'Overall Best' Brand of Motor Oils by US Automotive Technicians
Frost & Sullivan's survey reveals that technicians prefer Mobil 1 oil for being cleaner and more reliable than its competitors
MOUNTAIN VIEW, California, Sept. 13, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Based on recent analysis of the motor oils market, Frost & Sullivan recognizes ExxonMobil Corporation as the recipient of the 2016 US Product Leadership award. Frost & Sullivan surveyed new and experienced automotive technicians across shop sizes and types to identify the overall best motor oil. For the third year in a row, ExxonMobil's Mobil 1TM motor oils emerged the clear winner with 22 percent of the vote, a significant 10 percent lead over its nearest competitor.

"When quizzed on why they rated Mobil 1 motor oils the best, many technicians highlighted the quality and the reputation of the product as superior," said Frost & Sullivan Program Manager Stephen Spivey. "They indicated manufacturers used it and customers trusted it."
Many end-use technicians observed that the oil was the cleanest and most refined motor oil and that it did not break down easily or leave gunk. They also praised Mobil 1 synthetic oil's outstanding quality and impact on automobile engines. It was revealed that many automakers recommended Mobil to technicians because of the company's impeccable reputation.
"In a 15 point comparison chart between Mobil 1 and its nearest competitor, Mobil 1 led on most key points, including timely delivery, ease of ordering process, customer preference, and warranty coverage," added Spivey. "This is a strong vote of trust, considering more than 70 percent of respondents have over 15 years of experience."
