Future Group Launches India's 1st BOPO, Book Online Pay Offline With Ezone

Future Group, one of India's leading retail conglomerates, has launched India's first BOPO, Book online pay offline. It's a limited 2-day scheme and Ezone, the group's electronics chain, will start BOPO from 18th October. The intent is to make BOPO a trademark property which will be a paradigm shift in the way people make their purchases.

BOPO, designed to ensure a comfortable shopping process for customers, allows shoppers to reserve electronics online for a token money of Rs. 1,000. If the shopper changes his mind or doesn't like the product that he chose online, he can get back his Rs 1,000 in the form of a gift voucher, which he can use to buy another product at the store. Ezone is taking this step to address the big gap in a need wherein a customer has the ease and convenience of blocking what he wants or likes online and walking into the nearest store to touch, feel & experience to buy the same.

BOPO offering stemmed from the importance of the human touch and feel, and the inherent 'Indianness' in our everyday interactions. As customers, we Indians have often requested our local grocer / shopkeper to keep shortlisted groceries / products aside in good faith so that we can compare elsewhere and decide to buy later. With India's first BOPO, customers can now book any electronics upto Rs 2 lakh for just Rs.1000. They can visit the nearest Ezone store to try the product and buy it by paying the remaining balance. If the customer doesn't like the product he/she booked online, the same amount of Rs. 1000 can be used in form of gift voucher to buy any other product.

To start with, the electronics chain of Future Group, Ezone has started taking reservations for BOPO from 6th Oct and bookings for the same will open for only 2 days on 18th Oct morning at 9:00 AM. Customers who book on 18th & 19th will also get an exclusive cash back of up to 25% on purchases above INR 15,000 on first come, first serve basis. 

BOPO is applicable in Ezone stores only across Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Thane, Pune, Delhi, Gurgaon, Ghaziabad, Noida, Kolkata, Bangalore, Chennai and Hyderabad.
