Gaurav Kapur Owned Bangalore Royals Eyes the Winning Trophy in the Inaugural Edition of Raj Kundra's Match Indian Poker League

With all the buzz around Raj Kundra's initiative to promote Poker as a sport, the first edition of the Match Indian Poker League kick started in Mumbai on 17th November. With seven teams participating, this was sure to give some chills to every poker fanatic in the country.
Amongst all the hustle and bustle, the Bangalore Royals franchise owned by Gaurav Kapur was preparing hard for this league. With a practice workshop of thirty hours spread over three days, the team captain Pranav Bathija made sure his players are well versed with the format and play as per the strategy he created. Bathija said "Poker is a mind sport. What work here are your analysing and thinking skills. In order to be ahead of your opponent, one must read his/ her mind and play smart. We have a fixed strategy in place and I am hoping this turns out to be a game changer for all of us!"
Sumil Shah, one of the final shortlisted players for Bangalore Royals said "What we are doing here will surely benefit the team. Not everyone has the patience and energy to play and discuss and debate for ten to twelve hours each day. Our team has been taking this game very seriously and we all know that this is the closest we can get to represent our country on a world level. This trophy will mean a lot to us and we have put in our best efforts to grab it."
The workshop for Bangalore Royals was held at a banquet in Andheri, Mumbai and all the players gathered in full spirit to be a part of this. The three day workshop went on till as late as 1 am everyday and had the players back practising at sharp 3 pm the very next day.
"The whole idea of this workshop is make sure my team knows what they are doing. We are competing against the best in the country in Poker and we do not want to fall short anywhere" said Gaurav Kapur, owner of the Bangalore Royals.
Bangalore Royals have already made noise with their game playing skills on the first day of the Match IPL by ending the day on second position and are now eyeing to win this inaugural season of the league. With no celebrity faces and being termed as underdogs, this team surely has everyone's attention now. The Match IPL winners will be declared on the eve of 18th November and time will soon tell who grabs this dream trophy.
