London-Based Investment Management Firm for Families and Institutions Expands Presence in New York
GCW Global Customised Wealth LLP, the global investment management firm for sophisticated private capital and select institutions, announced that Matthew Luckett has joined the firm as partner. New York-based Luckett will serve as a member of the firm's Investment Committee, assisting with direct and co-investments and expanding the firm's reach into attractive private asset opportunities. GCW provides comprehensive investment management solutions to international clients and invests globally.

In addition to his role with GCW, Mr. Luckett is a co-founder and general partner of Lampros Capital, an alternative investment firm focused on special situations with an emphasis on technology-enabled private credit.

From 2004 to 2014, Mr. Luckett was a General Partner of Balestra Capital, Ltd., a multi-billion dollar global macro investment firm, where he was responsible for portfolio strategy, macro-economic idea generation and portfolio risk supervision. During his tenure, Balestra Capital was ranked in the top 10 best-performing macro funds in the world by HFRI.
Prior to Balestra Capital, Mr. Luckett was a Principal and a Wall Street Journal-rated equities research analyst at Soundview Technology Group and a technology industry analyst at Gartner Group, where he covered software, data analytics and applications development. Mr. Luckett has invested directly in over 40 private companies and real estate projects.
Mr. Luckett graduated with honors from Georgetown University where he received the George F. Baker Scholarship and was a trustee of the scholarship as an alumnus. He currently serves on the Board of Trustees for the Georgetown Scholars Program, which supports first-generation students and he previously served on the Georgetown College Board of Advisors. He is an accomplished marathoner and an All-America age-group triathlete and Ironman, who competed for Team USA at the 2014 World Championships.
