The formation of NFP was spearheaded by the Vivekananda Foundation; a New Delhi-based NGO engaged in social work and has lakhs of volunteers across the country. The foundation and its entire cadre and support base have now become an integral part of the party.
After a meeting of senior members and leaders of the party, the 16-member national committee was announced. The party members elected Mr Pramod Tiwari as President and Mr Anshumman Joshi as General Secretary. Mr Harshit Kantaria (Vice President), Mr Amlan Biswas (National Convener & Organising Secretory), Mr Dinesh Chauhan (Vice President & National Co-Convener), Mr Yogesh Singh (Joint Secretary) and Mr Varun Anand (Treasurer) have been given key responsibilities.
Talking to reporters after the launch ceremony, the Party President, Mr Pramod Tiwari said, "A new political party has been formed to bring in real and revolutionary changes in the country. The party has formed its national committee and prepared a roadmap on that auspicious day."
"We are ready to take on big ones in every state in the coming elections. However, we are focusing on Gujarat, Punjab, Goa and Tripura initially, and will contest all other Assembly elections in the next two years, followed by General Elections in 2019," he added.
"The party, with its aim to provide a viable alternative to distraught youth and masses, will contest all Assembly seats on its own in states like Punjab, Goa, Gujarat and Tripura. Process of selection of candidates has already begun," Tiwari emphasized.
Announcing its electoral strategies and future plans, Mr Harhshit Kantaria, Vice President said, "We have chalked out our political and electoral actions for the coming Assembly elections. We have decided to contest all Assembly seats in three states next year and Tripura in 2018."
The party is spearheading a new political movement with the help of its youth cadre, intellectuals and support of those who seek real change in the system.
The mission is to mobilize youth of the country to join this movement which seeks to reform the system and would provide better governance options with new elements like 'Know Your Government' (KYG). The party aims to fulfil new-age aspirations of the youth with its clear, transparent and realistic vision. The party, with support of the foundation, enjoys huge support base in many parts of the country. NFP aims to resolve and address the problems of youth; especially unemployment first, as it strongly feels the youth is a very powerful tool for change that India wants to see to become one of the most powerful nations of the world.
"We held all major political parties responsible for the pathetic state of affairs in the country. There is no growth oriented development or inclusive growth, ills like unemployment, hunger and corruption are at an all-time high, law and order situation is worsening day by day. Youth are frustrated. In such a scenario, we will bring in real change," said Mr Amlan Biswas, National Convener and Campaign in-charge.
"We are the disciples of Mahatma Gandhi, who taught the world non-violence and weaponized it to quell any violence. Our ideologies are aligned with Shaheed Bhagat Singh, who was the paragon of patriotism," he said, while requesting everyone, especially the youth, to unite and move ahead to realize the long cherished dream of our forefathers to make India shine.
"To get rid of all ills, created and promoted by politicians with vested interests, I appeal to the youth of our nation to fight against the rampant corruption in our system and work for 'system upgradation'. This is for those who want to work for the betterment of the poor farmers, labourers, and for the upliftment of weaker and helpless sections of society," said Mr Pravin Kantari, Gujarat President.
Leaders and members of the party will continue to put their efforts to make India an ideal nation as dreamed by our freedom fighters and martyrs Ram Prasad Bismil, Chandra Shekhar Azad and Shaheed Bhagat Singh. With these names, the name of the party has been perfectly aligned. The party is dedicated to build a society free from poverty, illiteracy, unemployment, casteism, terrorism, communalism and regional biases.
A large number of the supporters gathered in New Delhi to attend the launch ceremony.
