G.H.MUMM Reveals its Latest Sabre Collaboration with Acclaimed Designer Ross Lovegrove

Yesterday, within the heart of the prestigious Opéra Garnier restaurant in Paris, whose colors are so quintessentially G.H.MUMM, the House of Champagne revealed its latest collaboration, in an impressive scenographic setting also produced by Ross Lovegrove.

The Champagne Sabrage is one of the proud traditions in Champagne and a genuine culture that G.H.MUMM is reviving in a playful and contemporary way, by inviting designers to deliver their own interpretation of the Sabrage gesture.

Having previously worked and revealed the first Sabre collaboration with French designer Patrick Jouin two years ago, G.H.MUMM pursues its unique collection of "Sabre" and chose Ross Lovegrove for his visionary, innovative and sensitive approach. The designer came up with a timeless object that inspires touch and sensuality. A true piece of art, which is shaped by the gesture itself.

"I was totally seduced by the gesture and experience of Sabrage, which inspired me to create a piece with a flowing, seamless shape which suggests restraint and a moment of revelation," explained Ross Lovegrove.

Designed for left- and right-handed use, the G.H.MUMMSabre offers the ultimate balance of weight and mass, and its shape suggests restraint and then a moment of revelation.
