Global Advances in Health and Medicine Announces Role in Upcoming Innovative Symposium
BOSTON, May 1, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Global Advances in Health and Medicine (GAHMJ) today announced plans to attend and publish an overview and proceedings of the upcoming symposium "Gut-Brain Axis: How to Manage Pain Caused by this Cross-Talk." The symposium, which will be held in Salerno, Italy, on May 4, 2015, will convene healthcare professionals from around the world to explore conventional, complementary, and integrative medical perspectives on treating pain that stems from bidirectional brain-gut interactions.
Co-chaired by Brian Berman, MD, President of the Institute for Integrative Health, and Ronald Kleinman, MD, Physician-in-Chief of MassGeneral Hospital for Children, the symposium incudes two keynote lectures and sessions focusing on irritable bowel syndrome, anorexia nervosa, celiac disease, inflammatory bowel disease, and tumors of the gastrointestinal tract. It will conclude with a panel discussion moderated by Institute Scholar Claudia Witt, MD, with panelists Brian Berman, MD; Alessio Fasano, MD; Paolo Marchettini, MD; and Marco Lacerenza, MD.
Global Advances in Health and Medicine will publish an overview and proceedings of the symposium in an upcoming issue.
