ICAI Chandigarh Celebrates Swachh Bharat Drive

CHANDIGARH, India, April 18, 2016 /PRNewswire/ --

ICAI Chandigarh, a Government of India designated partner in nation building, celebrated Swachh Bharat Drive in and around its campus in Sector 35, Chandigarh on 16th April 2016. The event was graced by the Chairman, Vice Chairman and other previous and current elected members of the Institute. Above 200 students actively participated in this cleanliness drive.

The drive began with an address by ICAI Chairman CA Naveen Soni, highlighting how ICAI Chandigarh has been living up to its social responsibility apart from imparting domain training to budding Chartered Accountants. "This Swachh Bharat Event is a recurring event and we periodically ensure such engagements to emphasize the need of cleaner surroundings and neighbourhood," said CA Naveen Soni. He added, "cleanliness starts from within and I am delighted to see the excitement among the students as well as members who found time from their busy schedules and are here to motivate students."

CA Brij Bhushan Sharma, Secretary of ICAI Chandigarh said, " message is clear that it's our social responsibility to ensure cleanliness in our neighbourhood."

CA Sourav Goel, Treasurer ICAI Chandigarh, told that there is a lot of cleaning done by the students who collected truckloads of garbage in and around the ICAI campus area today.
