India Champions in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint applications were awarded and felicitated by Microsoft and Certiport at a gala award evening in the presence of India finalists, their parents, teachers, CyberLearning partners, and doyens of the corporate and academic worlds. The entire ceremony was anchored by India Champions of past three seasons of COMPUDON.
COMPUDON - the gateway to the Microsoft Office Specialist World Championship - is a platform for students in India to showcase their mastery in using key Microsoft Office applications. Eligible students from all states of India competed for the title of "India Champions".

The winners of the championship were given medals, certificates and awards by eminent Guests including:
Ms. Fiona Collins (VP - Pearson VUE), Mr. Pratik Mehta (Head Education- Microsoft), Mr. Pankaj Dikshit (Area Lead - Microsoft Learning Experiences), Mr. Jeffrey Lewis (VP Certiport Sales, India/ Japan/Australia), and Mr. Pankaj Rai, Director & CEO - CyberLearning. The 6 winners were crowned as India Champions in their respective MS Office application and version out of which 2 qualifying India Champions - Arjit Kansal in Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2010 and Shashank Batra in Microsoft Office Excel 2007 also earned themselves an all-expense paid trip to the 2014 Microsoft Office Specialist World Championship to be held in July 2014 in Disneyland, California, USA. The World Championship, organized by Certiport on an annual basis, will see participants from 60+ countries display their skills in Microsoft Office applications. Once again, it will be an opportunity for India Champions to do India proud by bringing home the 'World Cup in MS Office'.

4. Word 2007 - Chirag Sarogi - (D.A.V. Public School, Pushpanjali Enclave, New Delhi)
5. Excel 2007 - Shashank Batra -(Maharaja Agrasen Model School, New Delhi)
6. PowerPoint 2007 - Pranshu Pranjal - (Delhi Public School, Ghaziabad Vasundhara, Uttar Pradesh)
In addition to India Champion awards, awards for 1st and 2nd Runner Ups, Regional Winner awards, Consolation prizes were also awarded.

The teachers who produced India Champions this year were also recognized for their role in nurturing top talent in Microsoft Office applications. All finalists got a group photograph taken in presence of the esteemed dignitaries. The reason behind organizing the championship is the encouragement of Indian youngsters in their quest to equip themselves with the requisite computer skills that will help them get a head-start in their lives. The opportunity for Indian youngsters in the IT field are mammoth, provided the youngsters have the requisite set of skills, and competitions like these will help reinforce the importance of relevant and vocational IT education.
In the concluding round, competitors participated in unique scenario-based tests to demonstrate their ability to create documents, spreadsheets and presentations for the information presented in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
In its IVth year, the COMPUDON Championship continues to grow in popularity as more students around the country realize the value of earning an industry-recognized technology certification.
