Indian Institute of Health Management Research (IIHMR) has Been Conferred a Research University Status by Government of Rajasthan

IIHMR Invites Applications for its Prestigious 2 Year AICTE Approved Post Graduate Programme in Hospital and Health Management

India's number one institute in hospital and health management, Indian Institute of Health Management Research (IIHMR), has been conferred a research university status by the Government of Rajasthan. In concurrence with the Private University Act 2007, of the Government of Rajasthan, an ordinance was issued by the state government on September 27, 2013 to accord university status. Issuance of this ordinance has been duly notified in the Gazette of the state government.

The Institute of Health Management Research (IIHMR) invites applications between December 2, 2013 and May 30, 2014 for its prestigious 2-year AICTE approved Post Graduate Programme in Hospital and Health Management. Applicants will be chosen based on their qualifications, CAT/XAT/MAT/CMAT/ATMA/work experience, group discussion and a personal interview. Online registration for the same has already started.

"IIHMR University is the first research university in the health sector in India," says S. D. Gupta, Director of IIHMR.

"The university will offer only post graduate programs keeping in view the emerging human resource needs and skills requirement in the health sector," he added.

Apart from Jaipur, IIHMR  has its campuses in Delhi and Bangalore. The course structure of existing courses will remain the same, only the name of the degree that is awarded will change to MBA. For example, Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) in Hospital Management will change to MBA Hospital Management. Similarly for others, the degree awarded will change to MBA Health Management, MBA Pharmaceutical Management, MBA Rural Management and so on.
