Indian Shipping and Maritime Industry Gears for Fresh Business Opportunities at INMEX SMM India

South Asia's most important trade fair for the maritime and shipping industry - INMEX SMM India organized by Informa Exhibitions opened its doors today. The most comprehensive, industry-spanning trade fair in South Asia, INMEX SMM India 2017 got off to a busy start, with more than 500 participating exhibitors from 30 countries and country pavilions from China, Denmark, Germany and the USA, making their presence felt at the show.

INMEX SMM India was inaugurated by dignitaries from the Indian maritime and shipping industry namely Vice Admiral Ravneet Singh, Chief of Staff - Western Naval Command, Indian Navy; Dr. Malini Shankar, IAS, Director General of Shipping, Government of India, and Ms. Ann Ollestad, Consul General of Norway in Mumbai, alongside other eminent industry players.

Addressing the congregation at the inauguration ceremony, Vice Admiral Singh stated, "I am really privileged to be here today at INMEX SMM India. Tapping the new momentum in the industry and first CIMAC Circle welcomes high-level speakers 

The exhibition will be co-located with the INMEX SMM India conference which will discuss the new momentum in Indian shipping and maritime with industry heavy weights from the Indian Navy, Ministry of Shipping, Cochin Shipyard, Indian National Shipowners Association (INSA) and Inland Waterways over the 3rd and 4th of October.

INMEX SMM India will also host the first CIMAC Circle in India on 4th October. This high-profile conference will discuss the most stringent emission requirements yet for vessels in NOx emission control areas, along with solutions to assure engines passing periodic inspections.
