INOX Partners With GDC for the First Ever DTS:X Immersive Sound Technology for its Theatres in India

INOX Leisure Ltd, India's leading multiplex chain has partnered with GDC Technology Ltd for getting India's first ever innovative SX-4000 immersive sound media server with a built-in DTS:X decoder, and the XSP-1000 cinema processor (GDC Immersive Sound Solution). The GDC Immersive Sound Solution is installed in INOX screens to deliver a differentiated sound experience to its audiences.

DTS:X technology is created to take audiences into a new dimension of sound immersion. The technology transports sound objects to and through specific locations: in front of, behind, above, and next to where the audience is sitting - exactly where the creator intended. The flexibility of DTS:X gives the opportunity to offer audiences a compelling immersive experience by recreating the way sound behaves in the real world. 

Since its debut in July 2015, DTS:X has enjoyed worldwide adoption by major Hollywood motion picture studios, cinema owners and mixing stages. In 2018, more than 40 theatrical titles will be released with a DTS:X soundtrack. As of May 2018, over 60 world-class mixing stages in 17 countries are now using DTS:X production tools to create the rich, realistic sound experience.
