Kalinga Lancers, the 6th franchise to debut in the Hero Hockey India League, is owned by Odisha, and has its home ground in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. The team is owned by Odisha Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (IDCO) and Mahanadi Coalfield Limited (MCL), and is sponsored by 'Invest In Odisha' drive by 'Govt. of Odisha'.
The account was to be managed for a brief period of 3 months that included promoting on social channels the high-decibel encounters with other 5 league teams being played between 21st Jan to 26th Feb, 2017. The matches were broadcasted live on prime time while the agency pitched in with live updates through Twitter. The games took place in different locations in Odisha, Uttar Pradesh, Chandigarh and Delhi.
