Layer 7 Technologies Named 'Company of the Year' by BC Technology Industry Association

Layer 7 Technologies, a CA Technologies company (NASDAQ: CA) and a provider of API management and mobilization tools for the open enterprise, was named 'Company of the Year' by the British Columbia Technology Industry Association (BCTIA) at the 2013 Technology Impact Awards (TIAs) earlier this month.
Founded in Vancouver in 2003, Layer 7 grew into one of the largest and most well-established technology companies in British Columbia by helping organizations open their APIs to partners, developers, mobile apps and cloud services in a secure and scalable way. The company was acquired by CA Technologies in June.
Now in their 20th year, the TIAs were created to celebrate the success of British Columbia's technology industry. In honoring the companies, people and innovations driving this success, the BCTIA is credited with helping to create a strong sense of community within the technology industry province-wide.

Company of the Year nominees were judged on four criteria: financial performance, strategy, market position, and technical and product excellence.
