Merck Opens New M Lab Collaboration Center in Bangalore

Merck, a leading science and technology company, today announced the expansion of its M Lab™ Collaboration Center in Bangalore, India. The facility will provide biopharmaceutical manufacturers with a shared, exploratory environment where they can closely collaborate with Merck scientists and engineers to solve their toughest challenges and accelerate development of new therapies.

The expanded center, measuring 806 square meters (8500 sq ft), leverages Merck's world-class technical and application expertise. It includes a simulated manufacturing environment and enables collaboration with Merck experts to evaluate processes and accelerates development and production of new therapies. In addition, education on best practices and new approaches to develop, optimize and scale-up processes and ways to simplify global technology transfer will be available to customers.

The new M Lab™ Collaboration Center in Bangalore is one of nine such centers around the world. Each center helps customers, government collaborators, academia, regulatory bodies and industry associations to increase their productivity, mitigate risk and improve processes with the help of an industry-leading team of Merck experts. Customers have access to sizing and simulation tools and methodologies, analytical and modelling support, training sessions and educational programs.
