Music India is launching a new program called Camp-Fest. The show celebrates the joy of enjoying a great college-campus life and aims at becoming the ultimate go-to destination for college students across India. It will focus on how young minds come together to develop and integrate their college festival, an annual event, and become a part of the larger culture adding to the college heritage.
For the show, Music India will tie-up with colleges across the country and cover their annual events that will be telecast as half hour episodes on the channel. Each episode will cover one college festival, filming the events, activities and competitions that take place during the course of the entire fest. The cultural fest will be heavily promoted across television and digital properties of the channel.
The whole purpose of coming up with this show is to give a boost to the college students for the active initiative that they undertake as a part of these college festivals. With a lot of college events coming up in the succeeding months, college students can tune in to Music India and stay updated about the latest buzz around these fests.
Elaborating about the show, Nisha Chothani - Director at Media Worldwide - says, "It's a large part of college life, perhaps the first attempt in their adult life by students to organize, participate, set rules, choose what works, have fun and be responsible at the same time, the pride on the successful delivery of the festival can be exhilarating for the organizers and the participants both. Our show aims to provide a window to their sense of pride, joy and achievement to a national audience. This is a fun show, it will showcase the competitive spirit of the participants and the organizing complexities of college festivals."
To begin with, the channel has tied-up with Podar College as the official music partner for its annual college festival 'Enigma' for 2015. The fest was scheduled through 6th August to 9th August 2015.
With a unique theme every year, Enigma attracts large number of participants. This year's theme is based around the concept of 'Mythology' with some great events lined up for the participating colleges. The theme will witness the coming together of three distinguished Mythologies - Egyptian, Greek and our own Indian Mythology.
Podar College, that ranks as one of the best educational institutes in Mumbai, has been adjudged as the 'Best College For Cultural Activities' has been the winner of the Youth Fest organized by the Mumbai University for the past three years and has won this title 25 times in 45 years.
