NMIMS School of Commerce graduates were awarded degrees during a two-day convocation ceremony at Mumbai campus

MUMBAI, India, Sept. 23, 2022 /PRNewswire/ -- SVKM's NMIMS, a Deemed-to-be University, celebrated Convocation Day 2022 of Commerce schools of different campuses. This was a two-day convocation ceremony (i.e., 16th and 17th September, 2022). The event was graced by the Chief Guest, Shri Sridhar Sankararaman, Managing Director, Multiples Alternate Asset Management on day 1 and Chief Guest Shri Sundeep Sikka, Executive Director & Chief Executive Officer, Nippon Life India Asset Management Limited on Day 2. Nominee of the Hon'ble Chancellor was Shri Shalin Divatia. The Dias panel also had the Honourable Vice Chancellor Dr. Ramesh Bhat, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Dr. Sharad Mhaiskar, Registrar NMIMS, Dr. H. Ravishankar Kamath and Dean, Anil Surendra Modi School of Commerce, Mumbai, Prof. Sangita Kher.
The ceremony was attended by a congregation of 1064 students from Anil Surendra Modi School of Commerce, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Dhule, Indore, Hyderabad, & Navi Mumbai (BBA, B. Sc. Finance, B.Com).
Convocation is a special day for students as they will receive their graduation degree in front of a large audience. It is a day where they can celebrate their achievements with people who have been on this journey along with them.
The faculty were awarded for their accomplishments and for mentoring students at every stage; be it for academics or extracurricular activities. Convocation day is an opportunity to recognize faculty commitment to excellence as a testament to their quality education.

Shri. Sridhar Sankararaman is the Managing Director at Multiples Alternative Asset Management Pvt Ltd and has two decades of experience in the financial services industry. Speaking at the convocation ceremony on 16th September 2022, Shri Sridhar Sankararaman, in his address, mentioned, "I would like to give a big round of applause to teachers, friends, and you. They remind me of my graduation 20 years ago. Each of you will live your life in the next 20 years. You will live in a real and better world and India's GDP will be 10 times more than what it is now and become a 20 $ trillion economy. This means each one of you will be 10 times wealthier than what we are today. This is the best time to graduate and make sure you double down on your strengths and don't worry about your weaknesses in life. Gratitude leads to no regrets. Shri. Sundeep Sikka is the Executive Director & Chief Executive Officer of Nippon Life India Asset Management Limited (NAM India). He has 25 years of rich experience in the area of financial services with key expertise in asset management. On the second day of the convocation ceremony on 17th September 2022, Shri Sundeep Sikka, said, "It's my pleasure to be here today. This is the most special day for you and thank you for being part of this day. I am sure a time will come when you will come and address the students sitting right where you are. This is the day where you come out of the formal institution and come face-to-face with real life. The key lies in what you learn at every stage. I was really impressed and touched when Vice Chancellor Dr Ramesh Bhat mentioned that you need to be a continuous learner in life. Our most important message is that we must get started.
