The joint campaign starts a day before the release of the movie. It will include Twitter contests themed on the movie, with a lucky winner getting an opportunity to ride with the stars of the movie in an Ola. Ola will also give them a chance to interact with the stars and know more about the movie and their experience of the shoot. The Twitter hashtag for the contest will be #olapkp2.
Ola, in association with Viacom18 Motion Pictures, will introduce a category on its app, using which Ola users will get exclusive access to pre-screening of the movie. Customers can tap on the category and request a free pre-screening invite delivered to their doorstep, the same way they'd order a cab. The passes are limited and will be made available on a first-come first-serve basis. The pre-screening will take place in Delhi and Mumbai. Selected customers will be given a free ride to and from the screening venue.
Sudarshan Gangrade, Vice President - Marketing at Ola said, "We are really excited to partner with Viacom18 Motion Pictures for the joint campaign of 'Pyaar ka Punchnama 2'. Our users, representative of the country's passions, love Bollywood and sports. This is a wonderful opportunity to engage with them, by getting them to meet their favourite stars, in person. At Ola, we are constantly innovating on partnerships that bring privileged access like never before, to our users around things they enjoy. We look forward to working with Viacom18 media on many more such campaigns in time to come."
Rudrarup Datta, VP - Marketing at Viacom18 Motion Pictures added saying, "PKP2 is a great fun ride, which connects with the pulse of today's youth. We at Viacom18 are constantly looking at pushing the envelope to engage with our viewers. We are very happy to partner with Ola on this interesting engagement for our viewers."
Ola in the past has tied-up with teams of the Indian Premier League and the Indian Super League to offer match tickets and with select movie houses to offer 'Ola Premiere' tickets to its users, straight from the app.
