On the Back of GST, Global Consulting Firm Crimson & Co Formally Enters India
MUMBAI, March 6, 2017 /PRNewswire/ --
The Progress Group (TPG) India is excited to announce that as of 06 March, 2017 the company has changed their name to Crimson & Co India. Through this change, the global management consulting firm Crimson & Co will also be officially entering India. This is happening at the most opportune time for the India market since the combined expertise of TPG and Crimson & Co will help the India office create greater value to clients on the back of GST. With GST (Goods and Services Tax), soon to be rolled out in India, the team is already engaging with clients to re-engineer and re-design their supply chain networks.
The Progress Group is a leading supply chain consulting firm in North America with an established parallel practice in India. TPG's Mumbai office has been operating for the last 10 years, engaging with Indian companies in retail, e-commerce, lifestyle, FMCG, automotive and other sectors.
The Mumbai office is already renowned for its supply chain expertise in warehousing and transportation with several automated warehouses and network strategy projects, already completed in India. Crimson & Co India will extend their offering to work with local clients on end-to-end supply chain solutions. With Crimson & Co's comprehensive approach and proprietary data analytics tools, the team is poised to deepen relationships with clients and create even greater value for them.
Another benefit of this change will be realized by existing and future Crimson & Co clients outside of India. TPG's in-depth knowledge of Indian supply chain challenges will be invaluable to Crimson & Co's global client base looking to enter or operate in the region.
Richard Powell, CEO of Crimson & Co Worldwide, commented: "We started our global partnership journey in 2014 and it has gone from strength to strength, enhancing our capabilities and giving us insight into markets at a local level. We have worked with the India team on a range of client projects and TPG India is taking the next step in our strategic business relationship. This increases the value we can bring to our clients whilst also allowing for greater development and progression internally. We are excited about the opportunities for our clients and for ourselves."
Steve Mulaik, Partner with The Progress Group , stated, "By joining forces with Crimson & Co, we positioned TPG to offer Indian companies a much broader range of supply chain services - especially in purchasing, planning, inventory management and manufacturing. Along with the name change we will be introducing more capabilities in the region and improving the value to our clients as a one-stop shop for companies needing to plan and implement a response to GST."
Ravikant Parvateneni, CEO of Crimson & Co India commented, "We are building on our strong relationship developed over the past two years by taking the next step in our development. This reinforces to our Indian clients that we are a truly end-to-end supply chain consultancy that has the skills, knowledge and experience to help support their global aspirations. We are delighted to have fully integrated into Crimson & Co."
