"The North American AED market has yearned for an AED of this technology, scope, and importance," said Vinod Ramnani, Chairman and Managing Director, Opto Circuits (India) Ltd. "We have seen the impact of this product when we launched it in Europe back in 2012: immediate market share, adoption, and demand."
Along with its sister AED, the Powerheart® G3, the Powerheart G5 is designed to enable rescuers to swiftly provide effective, life-saving therapy to aid a person who has suffered SCA, a condition in which the heart suddenly stops beating due to irregularities in its electrical system.
"As more and more countries recognize the threat posed by SCA, legislation and public attitudes are steering buying decisions. This, in turn, has allowed our company to maintain price-points as customers want AEDs that are easy to use, ready for operation, and feature advanced technology," added Ramnani.
