Parag Kulkarni Named One of the 'Most Impactful Leaders' in Water and Water Management

Parag Kulkarni, Managing Director of A. O. Smith India Water Products Pvt. Ltd., has been named to the global listing of '50 Most Impactful Leaders in Water and Water Management.'

The recognition was given during the World CSR Day event held today in Mumbai. The global list was announced by Dr. R. L. Bhatia, the Founder of World CSR Day and World Sustainability.

Members of the global listing are selected by a jury of senior professionals in the water treatment industry. The selection criteria include:

• Improvement of water efficiency and conservation;
• Demonstrated leadership within the sector resulting in a positive impact in the advancement of water management;
• Contributions towards water-related groups, associations, and institutions;
• Demonstration of good leadership and governance; and
• Contributions to water awareness in the community.

Parag, who joined A. O. Smith as managing director in 2015, helped launch the company's line of reverse osmosis and RO + SCMT residential water purifiers in India. The premium line of water purifiers is available in eight of the largest cities in India with plans to expand market coverage to 17 cities later this year.

Parag is a member of the India CEO Forum and is on the CII National Committee of Design. He previously served as a jury member of the India Design Mark, a government initiative with Good Design of Japan.
