World Environment Day, 5^th June is just round the corner. Like every year the world focuses on spreading awareness, empathy towards the planet Earth and the measures we can take to protect it. Recently, they worked with Energicity to implement mini grids in Ghana and with Mlinda Foundation to install them in the villages of Pasanga and Arangatoli, in Jharkhand.

PlaySolar's solutions are designed by their team of experts who have significant experience working in the solar energy sector. The young and energetic team, with an average age of 33, never compromises on the choice of equipment to be used, and the customized best-fit design for any given project. One such recent customized project involved integrating a 3kW hybrid project in Mr. Ganapathi Subramanyam's home, a retired naval officer.

They were extremely empathetic about the existing rainwater harvesting setup, and engineered an innovative solar PV panel setup, to ensure that every drop of water remained harvested," added Mr. Subramanyam.

In the immediate future, the company is looking to push for the adoption of solar in a host of different spaces. Recently,one such integration features their product AtmoSol™, which essentially helps move air conditioning and cold storage systems to solar power. "AtmoSol can help integrate two 1.5-ton air conditioners, and a sump to overhead tank water pump or a rural cold storage room using a simple and easily installable system. We believe it's a necessary solution not only for the environment but also to improve savings on electricity in a domestic setting. In the rural setting it helps greatly improve the longevity of produce," added Mux.

Another innovative solution the company is working on, involves solar-powered E-Rikshaws. "This is a very valuable integration. Upfront costs for E-Rickshaws are a lot more affordable than normal rickshaws and by using solar power the cost of charging the vehicle using the grid is also greatly reduced. Incentives by the government promoting the vehicle's adoption is another advantage," says Mux. For example, in Karnataka, the government has waived off road tax for solar powered E-Rickshaws, while general E-Rickshaws still bear this tax.

While pushing for these developments, the company is also involved with various other initiatives. They have actively helped solar powered water pump adoption in Karnataka and other states across India. JalSol™ is PlaySolar's indigenously designed stand-alone solar powered water pumping system to provide water on-demand, is the ideal solution for successful farming in power starved areas.
