Powering Innovations for the Next 3 Billion, Sankalp Global Summit 2016
MUMBAI, April 19, 2016 /PRNewswire/ --
Over 1,000 Global Delegates Will Convene in Mumbai for the Summit From April 20 to 22, 2016
The Sankalp Global Summit 2016, an Intellecap initiative, is among the world's largest convening platform for entrepreneurs and innovators focused on the low-income markets of Asia and Africa. The 2016 edition of the Sankalp Global Summit will engage stakeholders from across the entrepreneurship ecosystem to debate and discuss 'Innovations for the Next 3 Billion'.
With a focus on India as the epicentre of innovations for the 3 billion people expected to enter the low-middle income segment by 2030, the Summit, from April 20 to 22, 2016, at JW Marriott Sahar (Mumbai), will celebrate entrepreneurship that combines profits with sustainable impact.
With majority of these economically active 3 billion people living in the emerging markets, the summit will help rethink businesses, scale, policies and investments. The various discussions and activities at the summit will engage investors, policy makers, entrepreneurs, service providers and corporates to think about innovations in a whole new way, with over 30 sessions and knowledge exchanges between the Global North-South and the Global South-South markets.
"The emerging regions of Asia and Africa perhaps present the biggest opportunity of the century, as innovation and entrepreneurship hotspots for the low-income markets. Yet, they are equally steeped in irony when it comes to building scalable innovative businesses. Sankalp Global Summit 2016 will help unlock this entrepreneurship potential by convening key global stakeholders in India to develop a supportive ecosystem to scale innovations for the low-mid income segment. The critical outcome from the summit is a roadmap built along with our global partners to commit resources, talent and capital towards supporting innovations," said Aparajita Agrawal, Director, Sankalp Forum at Intellecap.
