Praj Maha-Intrapreneur 2013 Lifetime Achievement Award for Dr. Raghunath Mashelkar

To honour the spirit of innovation, creativity and entrepreneurship within the organisation, Praj Industries announced the winners of the 5th Maha-Intrapreneur Awards today. Well-known nuclear scientist and former Chairman of the Atomic Energy Commission of India, Dr. Anil Kakodkar and Chairman of Sakal Media Group, Shree/Mr. Prataprao Pawar will present the awards in the presence of Executive Chairman of Praj Industries Mr. Pramod Chaudhari and Principal Director of Symbiosis Society Dr. Vidya Yeravdekar.

The award ceremony, to be held on 21 December in Pune, will honour Dr. R A Mashelkar, the eminent scientist known for his role in nation-building through promotion of research in science and technology.

Six other awards will also be bestowed upon those who have shown exceptional intrapreneural skills within their respective fields including business, academics, government and social sphere. An eminent panel of jury selected the awardees of the Praj Maha-Intrapreneur Awards 2013.

"An Intrapreneur is known to integrate risk-taking and innovation with corporate management, as well as reward and motivational techniques, which are more traditionally thought of as being the province of entrepreneurship," Mr. Pramod Chaudhari, Executive Chairman, Praj Industries said.

This year, eminent scientist and Padma Bhushan awardee Dr. Raghunath Mashelkar will be given the lifetime achievement award for his notable role in shaping India's science and technology policies. Dr. Mashelkar is currently the National Research Professor and Chancellor of Academy of Scientific & Innovative Research (AcSIR) and the President Global Research Alliance.
