A glittering event usually organized with utmost ease every year, India Runway Week encountered an unexpected problem this year before the grand finale last week. Officials received a letter from NDMC stating that the venue had been cancelled. Since it was an official holiday on the occasion of Good Friday, they were unable to sort out the issue, leading to disappointment among the designers and models.
Mr. Tarun Shienh, Chairman, Premia Group stepped into the picture and took a quick decision of changing the venue. Within an hour, the venue was changed from Talkatora Stadium to Connaught Place. The panic that had enveloped the atmosphere eventually subsided and Mr. Tarun Shienh gave a fantastic speech motivating all. He said that the show must go on and nothing could stop Premia India Runway Week to close with grandeur.
