Songdew in association with Renault announced the names of four winners of Free The Music, the contest which provides the biggest platform in India to upcoming musicians and bands. The winners of the contest held this season, include 'Humming Bird' - a Bangalore-based pop/rock band formed by vocalist, Neethusha Cherckal, an interesting act - 'Big Deal', a full-fledged rapper/singer/beat producer all rolled up in one, Delhi-based acoustic band 'PlayIt By Ear', formed by Samir and Martin, that creates catchy, fun to play songs around original lyrics set to great pop melodies, and another Delhi-based band 'Soul Inclination' started by duo Puneet Vohra and Aditya Verma - both die-hard grunge fans.

Renault Free The Music is a unique initiative by Songdew wherein not only some of the most talented artists are discovered but more important subsequently their music is promoted globally and they are given opportunities to perform live at some of the best venues in the country.
Renault - Free the Music campaign was launched one month ago to select the four best bands from all across India. More than 1000 bands/artists from all over India registered for the same during the last 30 days. Sunil Khanna, Founder of Songdew, said, "We are overwhelmed with the huge response to this campaign.
