Road Safety Week was observed at our Chennai Grinding Unit (CGU) with an array of events, the focus being awareness creation and knowledge sharing amongst our workforce. CGU Works, following the policy 'Safety... a way of living' has always taken keen measures to effectively implement safety. Our pledge to focus on safety standards at workplace has rewarded us with many accolades year-on-year; along with assured wellbeing of our workforce.

An awareness campaign was launched by Zuari Cement at the truck parking yard complex, the event was presided by Mr. Edward, Dy. Superintendent of Police, Ponneri, along with Mr. Venkataraman Subramaniam, Plant Head and Mr. Senthil Murugan, Inspector of Police, Minjur.
Mr. Venkataraman, addressed the gathering and emphasized the Group and Company initiatives towards Road Safety. The Transport Support Community, inclusive of the drivers, cleaners and supervisors were advised on the importance of safety in all spheres of life, so as to be cautious, prevent mishaps and accidents resulting out of neglect or lack of awareness.
On this occasion, Zuari Safety Animator conducted CPD awareness program to all the drivers. Adhering to, maintaining health standards among our Transport Support Community, a Free Eye Camp was arranged at Zuari Safety Training Center. The drivers detected with sight concerns, were advised suitable remedies and complete support from the company.
