Saifee Hospital was Awarded for 'Excellence in Teaching for DNB Programme' as an NBE Accredited Hospital

Saifee Hospital was awarded for their excellence in teaching for their Diplomate in National Board programme at an event hosted by the Association of National Board Accredited Institutions (ANBAI) in Bangalore. The event was held to recognize the contribution of various medical institutes to the field of teaching. The award for 'Best Teaching Institute' for DNB programme was conferred by Shri VajubhaiVala, Governor of Karnataka and the event was attended by many dignitaries from the medicine field.

Diploma of National Board (DNB) is a post graduate degree affiliated to National Board of Examinations. Saifee Hospital received the recognition to start this course in 2009 and 201 students have enrolled in the course till date, out of which 138 students have successfully completed the training. The DNB programme at Saifee is offered in 10 subjects, namely, general medicine, general surgery, anaesthesia, pathology, radiology, orthopedics, obstetrics and gynecology, family medicine, urology and FNB in critical care. The selection process for DNB programme is centralized by National Board of Examinations, Delhi. The selected students are allocated institutes based on their merit in the examination.
