Showcase of Engineering Excellence: Jed-i Project Challenge 2013

BANGALORE, June 11, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --

The Jed-i Project Challenge is the largest national event aimed at celebrating and recognizing the best final year projects across the country. The third edition of the Jed-i Project Challenge is all set to happen on June 14th at the J N Tata Auditorium, Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Campus, Bangalore. From an initial set of 176 teams from 14 states across the country, 69 teams have been invited for the Finals on June 14th. A panel of distinguished jury, drawn from the faculty of IISc and industry experts, will evaluate the projects. The best projects across three divisions will be awarded cash prizes ranging from Rs. 75,000 to 20,000. The overall best project team will walk away with a total of Rs. 1.5 lakhs. In addition, there will be two named trophies, the Jed-i Tally Innovation Award and the Jed-i Reva-Mahindra Greenest project award.

The award ceremony is on the evening of June 14th, 6.00 pm to 8.00 pm, featuring talks by two excellent engineer-entrepreneurs: Mr. Chetan Maini, Founder & Chief of Technology & Strategy, Mahendra Reva, and Dr. Shyam Vasudev, President and CTO, Forus Health Pvt. Ltd. The Awards will be presented by the eminent aerospace scientist, Prof. Roddam Narasimha, FRS.
