Successful Entrepreneur With Primary Education Takes Management Sessions at IIM-A

There flowed a wave of inspiration and rejuvenation at one of India's premier management institutes - IIM-Ahmedabad when Govind Dholakia, Founder and Chairman of Shree Ramkrishna Exports Pvt. Ltd., Surat, shared his rich experience of entrepreneurship to the budding future entrepreneurs during the session on 'Successful Entrepreneurship' on 23rd August, 2017. Mr. Dholakia, one of the most successful diamond entrepreneurs of the industry was invited by Prof. Biju Varkkey, distinguished professor of Human Resource Management, IIM-Ahmedabad.

Mr. Dholakia during his talk fondly remembered his childhood days, his family and his journey from an indigent to a successful entrepreneur. He shared his first-hand experiences on life and business and highlighted the learnings from the Bhagvad Geeta for business, management and personal life. Focusing on the Bhagvad Geeta's principle, he said, "Kaam (Lust), Krodh (Rage) and Lobh (Greed) are one's biggest demons. If they prevail in our life, our professional as well as personal life is bound to be duped. The other enemy is our ego, which kills all personal and business relationships and we must save ourselves from this evil." His pure intention was to empower the growing youth who can imbibe these principles from this very age and be the successful future of new India.

"Our habits in personal life always have a direct impact on our professional life too. Therefore, it is of utmost necessity to learn good habits, moral values and practice integrity in our life," he added.

Mr. Dholakia treats everyone with equal respect and with no doubt this virtue has earned him a lot of reputation and success in life. He also highlighted the necessity of reading news daily and being updated about the current happenings.

He strongly believes that the youth of the 21st century is motivated with dynamic force and galvanized to make a better and new India. The talk was followed by an interactive session with the brilliant minds. This interactive session threw more light on various topics like, The Risk and Security in business, Importance of moral values and ethics in business, Diamond business in India and on the Art of maintaining balance between work and life and so on. It was a great learning experience for the participants and they thoroughly enjoyed the session and hoped to have the talk again at their own campuses too.
