The 10th Year of Dr Batra's Positive Health Awards, Adds a New Layer With 'People's Choice Award'

The Nominees of People's Choice Award 2016, are Deepa Malik, Laxmi Agarwal, Girish Sharma, Girish Gogia and Arunima Sinha

Marking the 10th anniversary of Dr Batra's Positive Health Awards that celebrates the heroic spirit of those who have made a positive impact on the society, despite personal and debilitating tragedies, Dr Batra's™ has introduced the 'People's Choice Award' that will enable citizens at large to vote for the most deserving 'Real Life Hero'. The People's Choice Award honors achievers who have demonstrated an undying power of human spirit, by overcoming challenges to achieve success and have a positive impact on society. The heroes who have been nominated by Dr Batra's™ as part of the maiden People's Choice Award include Deepa Mallik, who created history by becoming the first Indian woman ever to clinch a medal at the Paralympic Games, Laxmi, an acid attack survivor and activist, who showed us that beauty lies within and never to give up, Girish Sharma, the one legged badminton champion who lost a leg but won the game of life, Girish Gogia, a talented Motivational speaker, who showed that even when 90% of one's body is not functioning one must not give up and be happy to be alive and Arunima Sinha, India's first female amputee to climb Mount Everest.
