The ITB Group Successfully Expands its Practice and Conference Stronghold in India

After 23 years of existence, The ITB Group has launched its first office in Pune, India where it will expand its automotive stronghold and knowledge into the Indian market. ITB will begin its Indian operation by hosting two conferences that relate directly to ones that have been held in China and the US. These Pune, India-based conferences will cover automotive interiors and fuel and urea systems for cars, trucks, and two-wheelers.

In order to increase its global presence, ITB has hired Mr. Raj Chokhawala to be the Business Development Manager in India. With his several years' experience in automotive, Mr. Chokhawala will communicate and network with suppliers and engineers so as to assist them to further develop and understand the nuances of the Indian market.

The two new major upcoming conferences will be held from January 20-22, 2016 and are modeled after earlier conference events that have been previously held in both Novi, Michigan and Shanghai, China. ITB's technical/business events focus on providing an environment where industry leaders can convene to provide their technical know-how and business acumen so as to tackle constraints surrounding the business dynamics within the Indian market. This includes the cost structure for development and manufacturing in India that is vastly different from the rest of the world. Which technologies will be the key to the future? This exploration of processes and technologies options has always been a corner stone of The ITB Group's conferences.

The first conference, Automotive Interiors India, is a branch-off from other successful interior conferences held by The ITB Group in the US and China. The interior conference is intended to focus on Indian-specific design and styling trends and to clarify the difference between this market and the rest of the world. By incorporating this guided focus, it will provide the necessary environment to garner the attention of relevant suppliers and OEMs on how to best tackle constraints surrounding global and local regulations. The ITB Group intends to also explore the role that electronics plays on the interior, which seems to be in its infancy, and discuss the possibility of the development of a sophisticated interior for within three-wheeler market. The consumers in India have their own voice and at this conference, they will be heard.

Looking more towards the engine components rather than the interior will be the final part of the India conference series about Fuel and Urea Systems - Cars, Trucks, and Two-Wheelers. Similar to The ITB Group's other sold-out fuel system conferences, this one will still address the fuel system, but has been expanded especially for India to relate to key topics that include cars, trucks, and two-wheelers. Global and local OEM engineers, innovative suppliers, and industry experts will convene at this event. Discussion, presentation, and exhibit topics will include the latest developments, innovations, and trends shaping fuel systems and components, and regulations in India. Urea-based systems for reducing nitrogen oxide emissions from diesel engines continue to be of interest to the fuel systems community due to similarities in the storage and delivery of the liquid medium. With the high per cent of diesel vehicles in the Indian market, it is appropriate to include this topic in the conference's agenda as well.
