Jay Bagri, Founder of The Dorm Shop, explained his concept to the crowd and related it to his own personal experience of his early days in college. An immediate connect could be noticed between the audience and his startup idea of an eCommerce platform, which ties up with colleges to supply essentials to fresher students moving into hostels. Another vertical which The Dorm Shop looks into is students' orientation, which too appealed to the audience. This initiative allows a senior to earn money by helping 5-10 freshmen get acquainted to the new college. The company believes it will solve the on-going issue of ragging in India, which is still rampant.
