TÜV SÜD was Awarded the Contract by BGR Energy Systems Which is the EPC Company for the Project
German testing and certification giant TÜV SÜD, today announced the successful completion of Performance Guarantee (PG) Tests of the Boiler, Turbine, Generator (BTG) package of Kalisindh Coal based thermal power plant in Jhalawar, Rajasthan, India. After successfully conducting, executing and calculating of the PG Test, TÜV SÜD submitted the final report to BGR Energy Systems Ltd as per ASME PTC Codes, Standards and compliance.

Kalisindh Thermal Power Project, Jhalawar is one of the seven coal based thermal power plants owned by Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited (RRVUNL). BGR Energy Systems Limited was the EPC contractor and Tata Consulting Engineers Limited (TCE) was Witness Engineer of this project. As a part of the process followed for Performance Guarantee Testing, TÜV SÜD used their class 'A' calibrated instruments with 7 Nos of DAQ (Data Acquisition System) along with their engineering testing team.
TÜV SÜD, recently set up a state-of-the-art performance testing center in India, installed with world-class instruments capable of precision accuracy. This center will render performance guarantee and efficiency testing services, catering to India and the Asia Pacific belt.
TÜV SÜD has conducted following Performance Guarantee Tests (PGT) on the BTG (Boiler Turbine Generator) package of Kalisindh Power Plant as per the following ASME PTC standards
As demand for energy increases in India and power plants also enhance their generation capacities, it is important for stakeholders in the conventional power sector to ensure operational efficiency through periodic overall performance tests. Lack of performance guarantee tests can lead to exponential degeneration of power productions at plants.
