Visitor Footfall Increased by Over 20 per cent Over Last Edition
Hyderabad Jewellery, Pearl and Gem Fair (HJF 2016) organised by UBM India, India's leading exhibition organizer, concluded its 9th edition at the Hyderabad International Convention Centre, Novotel last week. With over 100 brands, HJF 2016 witnessed over 20 per cent unprecedented visitor growth as compared to its previous editions.

The show was validated as an industry platform with the presence of Chief Guest, Shri Bonthu Ram Mohan, Mayor - Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation and other key dignitaries along with the dignitaries, Ms. Jittima Nakamano, Consul (Commercial) of Royal Thai Consulate General and the Director of Thai Trade Center; Mr. G V Sreedhar, Chairman, All India Gems & Jewellery Trade Federation; Mr. Mahendra Tayal, President, Hitech City Jewellers Manufacturers Association and Mr. Yogesh Mudras, Managing Director, UBM India at the inauguration of the show.
UBM India's two-day HJF fair (4th to 5th June) is one of the biggest gems and jewellery B2B exhibitions with participation of over 100 jewellery manufacturers, wholesalers, retailers, importers, exporters, diamond and gemstone suppliers and representatives from trade and government organizations. It is a gateway to the Indian jewellery market and provides an excellent platform for buyers and suppliers to connect, network, exchange ideas, discover upcoming trends and generate business opportunities. At the fair, the exhibitors presented a wide spectrum of merchandise including diamonds, pearls, gemstones, studded jewellery, exquisite South Indian gold jewellery including Victorian, Nizam and antique jewellery collection displayed by over 40 manufacturers from Hyderabad and surrounding regions, which stole the show this year. Latest machinery used in the manufacturing process and other related products and services were also on display.
For the first time, this edition of HJF witnessed the Telangana & AP Retail Jewellers Awards 2016 (4th June), a unique initiative that honoured the best in the retail jewellery business of the states. A few chosen companies who have excelled in the field of retail jewellery were presented with a trophy and a certificate for their contribution to the industry. The awards were followed by a fashion show which saw the greatest talent in the industry get on stage showcasing astonishing pieces of jewellery.
The Telangana & AP Retail Jewellers Awards 2016 received 150 nominations in five categories out of which the following companies were awarded as winners.
