WAAREE Energies Ltd., a leading solar PV module manufacturer and project developer, has completed installation of an additional 250MW of annual manufacturing capacity in PV modules, bringing the company's total annual manufacturing capacity of solar PV modules to 500MW. With this installation, WAAREE's manufacturing plant in Surat, Gujarat has become the largest single location solar PV module manufacturing facility in India.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Hitesh Doshi, Chairman and Managing Director, WAAREE Group said, "This expansion is very much in line with our Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri. Last year, WAAREE Energies managed to secure approximately 40% of module supply contract in the DCR (Domestic Content Requirement) category, under National Solar Mission Phase II tenders. In view of the huge demand for our modules from Europe, UK, Japan and other African countries apart from the Indian markets, we are already working at expanding the production capacity to 1000MW which will be completed in the next four months."
