WizIQ announced the upgraded version of its Virtual Classroom to make it compliant with the Section 508 of the U.S. Rehabilitation Act. This optimization has been done to ensure accessibility of the WizIQ Virtual Classroom for people with disabilities.

Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act defines a set of standards intended to enable people with disabilities to have access to electronic and information technology. The WizIQ Virtual Classroom has been enhanced to support the use of assistive technologies to bridge the gap of accessibility for people with disabilities.
The new features added to make the WizIQ Virtual Classroom 508 compliant are:
JAWS compatible application: Individuals with visual impairment can now easily navigate the Virtual Classroom through voice prompts for various buttons and features. All they need to do is simply install JAWS, a screen reader from Freedom Scientific ®, on their Windows-based computer.
Keyboard shortcuts and Tab key functionality: People with mobility impairment can navigate the Classroom easily without using a mouse. Several keyboard shortcuts have been introduced to launch features and applications with just a few keystrokes within the WizIQ Virtual Classroom. Tab key can also be used to move between different buttons or features. These features are also helpful for the people with visual impairment.
