As The Need for Technology Skills Grows, Woz U Will Provide Teachers with Coding Courses to Help Them Prepare Future Workforce
SCOTTSDALE, Arizona, Aug. 20, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- Woz U will be partnering with the global clearinghouse for teaching credentials, CredEd, to provide teachers worldwide with the necessary education on coding. This partnership comes as India recently announced a new technology-focused education policy that, in addition to building a digital teaching infrastructure, will require schools to offer coding to children as young as 12 to keep pace with workforce demand. To teach those courses, teachers will need to be provided with the proper training and materials.

CredEd is an online platform for teachers to access professional development courses at a reasonable cost. CredEd partners with curriculum providers and other vendors to offer professional development and continuing education units (CEU) that are pathways to certifications and renewals, and portable credits that can be applied to other programs. The courses are approved by accreditors like the National Council for Private School Accreditation (NCPSA).
