FMC receives National Safety Council Award in India
NEW DELHI and MUMBAI, India, April 3, 2023 /PRNewswire/ -- FMC Corporation, a leading agricultural sciences company, has been conferred a silver trophy for the exemplary safety performance of its Panoli manufacturing plant by the National Safety Council (NSC) of India.
The Council's Safety Awards 2022 aim to identify and recognize organizations in the manufacturing sector with outstanding Occupational Safety & Health (OSH) performance and a steadfast commitment to reduce workplace injuries. Winners are selected after a rigorous assessment, including a review of the past three years of safety performance, a thorough audit and investigative process by a panel of NSC safety professionals.

FMC was one of 18 organizations picked from 600 vying for recognition in the manufacturing sector across the country. This is the first time the Panoli site has clinched the silver trophy, after having previously been presented with certificates of appreciation at the Council's Safety Awards 2021 and 2019. Mr. Manoj Khanna, Plant Manager of the Panoli manufacturing site, received the award on behalf of FMC at the NSC's 13th National Conference & Expo on Safety, Health, and Environment.
The NSC was set up by the Indian government's Ministry of Labor in 1966 to promote Health, Safety and Environment (HSE), carrying out numerous activities and building up technical expertise and competencies to tackle emerging challenges in HSE.
