Frost & Sullivan Honors Interstate Batteries as Nation's Overall Best Brand of Automotive Batteries
Company remains unchallenged in product leadership.
MOUNTAIN VIEW, California, Sept. 15, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Based on its recent analysis of the U.S. automotive batteries market, Frost & Sullivan recognizes Interstate Batteries with the 2015 United States Frost & Sullivan Award for Product Leadership. In a survey designed to identify the overall best automotive battery, Interstate Batteries emerged as the undisputed leader, earning 46 percent of the vote from the 353 U.S. automotive technicians surveyed.
Interstate Batteries continues to dominate the automotive battery market, having been voted the "overall best brand" by nearly 45 percent of automotive technicians for nearly a decade. In contrast, the nearest competitor has never garnered more than 12 percent of the votes.
"In addition to the most 'overall best' ratings, 74 percent of technicians whose shops primarily install Interstate Batteries' products rate Interstate Batteries as the top brand," said Frost & Sullivan program manager Stephen Spivey. "This combination of top 'overall best' rating and a strong leadership index score gives Interstate Batteries the top level of Product Leadership recognition, while its competitors have all polled critically low votes."
Interstate Batteries' brand equity rings true in non-supplier shops as well, as 9 percent of technicians – who do not primarily install Interstate Batteries products – selected it as the "overall best brand."
"Meanwhile, when technicians compared Interstate Batteries to the nearest competitor, the former is the clear leader and is particularly strong on quality, brand reputation, and accuracy of order filling," noted Spivey.
The technicians who rated Interstate Batteries the 'best' often cited the brand's product longevity and "ability to hold a charge." The other popular benefits noted were the brand's wide variety of options, nationwide warranty, efficient delivery, and top-notch customer service.
