Casio India launched the WSD-F10 Smart Outdoor Watch, an Android Wear™ wrist device with water resistance to 50 meters and built to military standard specifications.[*1]

The new WSD-F10 wrist device is optimal for the outdoors, boasting water resistance for use in rain and around water, and is tested to military standard specifications to ensure it can withstand a variety of rugged activities. Incorporating Casio's tough performance and sensor technologies, the WSD-F10 delivers a polished experience as a wearable information device.
The WSD-F10 offers a wealth of useful original Casio applications for outdoor activities such as trekking, cycling and fishing. Among these are dedicated apps designed to measure changes in the natural environment and track activity levels. The device is powered by Android Wear™, and users can also load their own apps to expand the feature set for diverse outdoor activities.
The watch face features a dual layer display with monochrome and colour LCDs. Users can display measurement data and apps in colour, or they can extend the device's life to more than one month by selecting to a Timepiece Mode that displays only watch data in monochrome.
The WSD-F10 also offers the ultimate ease of use as an everyday watch, making the most of Casio's years of experience in the timepiece business. The operating buttons are large and feature a slip-free finish so that they can easily be operated with gloves on, and they are concentrated on the right side of the case. The wristband is made from soft, urethane plastic that conforms to the wrist and can be comfortably worn for extended periods.

The WSD-F10 is a smartwatch with a built-in microphone that achieves 5 Bar water resistance. Its water-resistant structure assures protection against wet conditions encountered in various outdoor environments, from sudden showers during mountain ascents to sweat while cycling or water spray kicked up when fishing or boating.
- Built to military standard specifications
The WSD-F10 realizes environmental performance in compliance with the MIL-STD-810G*1 military standard endurance tests specified by the U.S. Department of Defence. This ensures its ability to withstand dropping shocks, vibrations and other demands of rugged outdoor use and to operate normally in a wide range of environments.
- Power Saving Dual Display
The display employs a dual-layer structure featuring a monochrome LCD and colour LCD installed on separate levels. The monochrome LCD helps maintaining clear visibility even in bright sunlight and the colour LCD gives a rich and vivid look to the watch. When not using apps, a power-conserving Timepiece Mode toggles off smartphone communication and the colour LCD, displaying only time data in monochrome. This helps saving battery and maintains clear visibility at all times of the day.

The WSD-F10 provides information that the users want, the moment they want it. Simple activation of the tool button gives access to information which people in the outdoors need even when their phone network doesn't follow them (the watch doesn't need pairing with the phone to access the 'Triple Sensors' which measure Altitude, Atmospheric Pressure and Direction).
The watch also links to the Casio Moment Setter+ smartphone app (Casio Exclusive Application) which displays changes in natural phenomenon and other essential information by a simple activation of the tool button. It also sends timely reminders concerning important information based on preset conditions during activities. Users can configure the app to automatically send the needed information based on previously set conditions such as speed, distance, time of sunrise, break timing, or when fish tend to be most active. Whether the moment the sun sets or the best fishing time, optimal time will never go unnoticed.
