The 5th edition of the Delhi Jewellery and Gem Fair (DJGF), hosted by UBM India concluded successfully at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi on 26 September, 2016. The show was inaugurated by Ms. Nirupa Bhatt - Managing Director, GIA India and Middle East; Mr. Ramavtar Verma - President, Delhi Bullion and Jewellers Association; Mr Yogesh Shingal - Secretary Delhi Bullion and Jewellers Association; Mr. Pawan Gupta - Director PPJ; Mr. Yogesh Mudras - Managing Director, UBM India and Mr. Abhijit Mukherjee - Group Director.

The show is recognized as an integral part of the jewellery industry and brings together key associations, exhibitors and buyers under one roof. Delhi Jewellery and Gem Fair is North India's largest B2B jewellery fair, and one of the major four jewellery shows held annually by UBM India for the Indian gems and jewellery industry.
The three-day trade show brought over 250 exhibitors to connect and create business with jewellery manufacturers, retailers, wholesalers, importers and exporters in North India. The show received an overwhelming response from the neighbouring states of Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh, as well as Maharashtra amongst others further validating the show as an industry platform. As a curtain-raiser, a series of road shows in adjoining cities of Lucknow, Ambala, Jalandar, Chandigarh and Amritsar also played the feeder role for Delhi.
Some of the eminent exhibitors at the event included jewellery manufacturers of the country such as Damara Gold Pvt. Ltd., Hari Krishna Exports Pvt Ltd, M/s. Bhindi Jewellers, Royal Chains Pvt. Ltd., Swarnsarita Gold & Diamonds, Unique Chains Pvt Ltd., Vikas Chain & Jewellery Pvt. Ltd, Swarnshilp Chain & Jewellers Pvt Ltd, Yamuna Diamonds, Salonki and Lumineux UNO amongst others.
Speaking on the successful completion of the 5th edition, Mr. Yogesh Mudras, Managing Director, UBM India Pvt. This year, the show also witnessed the second edition of the Retail Jewellers Guild Awards (RJGA), a unique initiative honouring the best talent in the retail jewellery business across India. There were retailers and manufactures showcasing their creations by means of a fashion show. There was also an exclusive launch of the second edition of 'India's Leading Retail Jewellery Companies', a unique report in association with Avalon Global Research that will place retail jewellery business at the top of the minds of leading manufacturers, buyers, franchise managers, bankers and high net-worth end users.
