NEW YORK, April 6, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- New York City's first exclusive residential real estate buyers brokerage, Elika Associates, has closed its second largest residential transaction to date. Elika Associates Founder and Principal, Gea Elika, has represented the buyer in the purchase of a  $12.9 million penthouse at 141 Fifth Avenue. According to Elika, the 5600sq feet six-bedroom, six and a half-bathroom penthouse at the 141 Fifth Avenue condominium was purchased by a buyer that prefers to remain private.

"Matching the discerning needs of the buyer was challenging given the lack of desirable luxury penthouses currently available. Commended by the New York City Landmarks Conservation 141 Fifth Avenue is one of the grandest buildings in the Flatiron District. The southern portion of the building was erected in 1897 and designed by Robert Maynicke and the building was extended to the north in 1900 by architect Henry Edwards Ficken.

The gracious beaux arts penthouse features its very own Cupola, panoramic city views and a classic design aesthetic, including many custom ornate details, four terraces, top-of-the-line kitchen and marble master bathroom.
