15th Annual Charity Golf Classic - SOLD OUT!

Including this year's Classic, over $294,000 has been contributed to improving the lives of our local youth. "We couldn't be more proud of the support from our local businesses and partners. Heartland Bank will host its 15th Annual Charity Golf Classic on Monday, September 10, 2012, benefiting America's Promise -- The Alliance For Youth at New Albany Country Club.  This year's beneficiaries are listed below:

Licking County Foundation for YES Club (Youth Engaged in Service)
The YES program is a service-learning project funded by a grant from the Ohio Department of Education. Due to the overwhelming number of participants and need for a safe haven for after school hours, YES moved to downtown Newark. The clubhouse currently serves 35-40 youths, ages 11-18 years of age, on a daily basis. Staff and adult volunteers provide mentoring, tutoring, life-skills and anger management classes, with a daily meal.

Grove City Kids Association
Grove City Kids Association (GCKA) is a non-profit charitable organization for youth sports. Their mission is to offer the best youth athletic experience possible by providing an environment dedicated to maximizing each participant's potential. The group has grown continuously and currently provides sports to over 3,000 children in Grove City and the Southwestern School District in youth cheerleading, football, soccer and softball.

The 2nd annual Rendezvous benefiting Flying Horse Farms
Flying Horse Farms provides magical, transforming experiences for children with serious illnesses. Located on 200 acres in Mt. Gilead, Ohio, they serve hundreds of children and families each year - free of charge.

Special Olympics Ohio
Special Olympics, the world's largest program of athletic training and competition for individuals with mental retardation, will use its portion of the funds to help underwrite their expenses. The program has grown to more than 1,000,000 athletes and 500,000 volunteers in more than 140 countries around the globe. 

Ohio 4-H Celebration of Youth
Ohio 4-H Youth Development uniquely qualifies young people to step up to the challenges of our changing society. Program areas that benefit youth include science and technology, health and safety, animal and agricultural areas, family and consumer sciences, personal development, natural resources, global understanding, and more.

Masonic Learning Centers for Children with Dyslexia
The Center offers free one-on-one tutoring to children with Dyslexia as well as free training for individuals who are interested in becoming a tutor for these children.  The positive impact of early intervention in the lives of these children and their families is enormous.
