Temporary pop-up store offers exclusive shopping experience for fans
NEW YORK, Nov. 12, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- On Saturday, November 17 in Manhattan, New York, One Direction opens the Herald Square 1D World pop-up store just in time for the holidays. For a limited time, fans will have the opportunity to shop for exclusive merchandise and experience everything in "One Direction."

"With the release of One Direction's second album 'Take Me Home' just days away, the band is giving 'the City That Never Sleeps' the opportunity to experience a true 1D World," said Barry Drinkwater, director of Global Merchandising Services, the organization responsible for the New York store.
The recent MTV VMA Award winners will offer fans exclusive merchandise available only at 1D World. There will be over 125 different products to choose from. Available for sale will be the exciting new 1D Winter Range, which includes onesies, varsity jackets, hoodies, beanies, gloves and much more! Fans will also have the opportunity to win various One Direction prizes during the grand opening. The UK band has sold more than 12 million records and continues to stay in the Billboard Top 100 with their newest single "Live While We're Young."
The first United States pop-up 1D World debuted in Chicago after sensational success internationally in Australia and Canada. The New York store will be the 8th 1D World. 1D World New York will be the biggest yet providing a shopping mecca of over 10 thousand square feet for fans.
"The response we had in Chicago was simply unreal," said Drinkwater. "One Direction's fans are like no other and are incredibly loyal."
As a special offer, those visiting the store on opening day will have the chance to win 1D World prizes. New York's #1 hit music station Z100 will also be on-site for the grand opening.
